Well, it's been a couple of years or so since I've even realized I had this Blog thing. I've been off work for about a month to have another surgery. As always, time sitting at home is usually time wasted, except for the fact that my brain refuses to rest. That might be good, keeps me sharp, so I tell myself.
I have taken time, not too much, but enough, to reminisce in my mind about family, friends, relationships, ethics, values, God (or religion to some), etc. I guess this is natural when you don't have anything to do. I've gone over in my mind how my new limitations are going to effect my life, and my families life from now on. You see, I had a transplant back in 2006. When they did this, they opened me up from stem to stern. That muscle just doesn't grow back, and I have had several hernias develop in my abdomen. I had them 'repaired' a couple years ago, but over did it as most people do. I have a hard time stopping what I like to normally do. For me, I can not twist, turn, pull, or pull, anything more than 15 pounds. So, that has caused a lot of contemplation on what in the world can I do?
Monday 9/26 is back to work. I am really excited. Why you ask. Well, as I've said, my brain doesn't shut down. Physically I can do next to nothing. Luckily my job consists of sitting at my desk and auditing data and maintaining a couple different data bases, or at least the data that goes into these databases. I also teach others how to use the systems and coach/mentor others on the 'business rules' that we follow. So, this is what I enjoy doing, and I am glad to get back to the grind...plus it pays the bills.
Time for TUHS Class of '86 get together this weekend. Hope a bunch of people show up and have a great time. It will be great to see friends from the high school years (25 years ago now).
Well, I guess that is all for now. I'm bored, wanted to write down some thoughts...and here they are. Hope you enjoyed hearing about me...after all, it's MY blog, and it is ALL ABOUT ME...well, and what makes me tick. Thanks for tuning in, or out, whichever you did. Until next time.....Good Day!
